Living Our Mission
As our Mission Statement says, "We open our hearts to others" and our school values are always at the heart of everything that we do.
As part of our Mission Statement, Catholic Social Teaching which feeds into our Catholic life of the school, we work hard to support charities and world wide causes.
Our school community at St. Thomas of Canterbury pledge to support the work of many charities throughout the year, including CAFOD, Royal British Legion, Nugent Care, Willowbrook, St Helens foodbank and Good Shepherd.
We want to support these charities to help make a real difference to the lives of others who need our love and care.
CAFOD
We always take part in CAFOD's Family Fast Days and help raise money for our global neighbours through many inventive fundraising events throughout the year.
Willowbrook Hospice
We take part in events such as 'Walk for Willowbrook' to help raise money for this important charity in our local neighbourhood.
Harvest Festival
Parents and families kindly donate much needed food every Harvest which is sent to the St Helens food bank to help the poor in our community.
Poppy Appeal
Every November, we sell poppies and other items on behalf of The Royal British Legion.
Good Shepherd
During Lent, we have a variety of events to help raise money for the Good Shepherd Fund
